Humane Trap

The traps arrived a few days after ordering them. I think that is our local postal service rather than slow dispatch. It took a couple of weeks in all....but with 3 traps set we managed to round up and relocate 5 very cute wood mice . All clear now. They responded best to a smorgasbord of tiny crusts with assorted toppings...peanut butter , honey, butter and a little chocolate in the traps.
My only reservation was that Mouse no5 spent a couple of days loose in my car when the trap unexpectedly came apart in my hands before I could drive it to join its evicted siblings in the woods. Fortunately it was recaptured 2 nights later and I'm hoping the car's wiring has not been nibbled as enthusiastically as the food placed in the traps.
